A former police chief in Greenwich received a $650,000 settlement from the city after he was terminated from his post for printing fake signs claiming the town's Republican mayor backs Donald Trump.
Democrat supporter and ex-top cop Mark Kordick spent around $250 on 50 red-and-white campaign placards from a website called Signs On The Cheap which tied Mayor Fred Camillo to the controversial former president.
